Coleman Microwave has designed a complete line of Low & Medium Power Waveguide Terminations for laboratory or system use. Units are available form 2.6 to 50.0 GHz and are constructed in dip brazed aluminum, (Brass for units above 18.0 GHz). Flexible design allows easy adaptation to customer specifications such as power, size and special flange mounting.

CMC offers terminations in waveguide sizes from WR650 to WR28. Power handling is available from low power lab levels to fan cooled multi-kilowatt applications. Terminations are manufactured to your exact requirements.

This series of shorting switches provide a means of shorting a waveguide transmission system for the purpose of calibration and R.F. power interruption to make measurements of system performance. These switches are available from 2.2 to 26.0 GHz. Typical open position specifications are: VSWR: 1.10:1, Insertion Loss: 0.15dB max. Closed Position:

The series WCA is a well matched precision waveguide to coaxial adapter that offers a low VSWR (1.1:1 typ., 1.25:1 max) and insertion loss. This unit is symmetrical, which allows transmission in either directions. Constructed of aluminum or brass, a wide variety of precision connectors and waveguilde flanges are available.

The F series are flexible sections of unjacketed waveguide which conform to MIL-A-287/4 and exhibit low insertion loss and VSWR. The maximum available length is 6 feet.

Compound Bends can be created by combining straight sections, formed or mitered E and H bends, twists and/or flexible guide.
Such complex assemblies help minimize flanges and cost while optimizing performance. Compound assemblies are available from WR650 to WR28. Materials include aluminum, brass, copper, and silver. All are manufactured with precision flanges and guides to meet your exact requirements. Contact the CMC design staff for assistance in specifying your assembly.

The B series consists of two sections of waveguide and a cast bend conforming to MIL-A-85. Maximum lengths are six feet for either direction. All units exhibit low insertion loss and VSWR. Exterior surfaces are painted grey semi-gloss enamel.

The BS series Swept Waveguide Bend consist of precision waveguide tubing bent in the E or H plane and then brazed to your choice of flanges. Bends are available in aluminum and copper. Semi-gloss grey paint is the standard external finish. Consult CMC’s design staff for the minimum bend radius for the guide size of interest.

The T series are twisted sections of rectangular waveguide which conform to MIL-A-85 and exhibit low insertion loss and VSWR. The maximum available length is 12 feet. Exterior surfaces are painted grey semi-gloss enamel.
